Downstairs you’ll find a spacious living room complete with wood burner for cosy winter evenings. This leads to a bright and airy kitchen/dining area which is sociable and open plan in design. There’s a separate utility with plenty of storage to fit two bicycles and four sets of golf clubs, toilet, and then outside a traditional walled patio garden complete with rattan corner sofa. Upstairs you’ll find three beautifully furnished bedrooms, and in the bathroom a shower plus separate double ended bath. It makes the perfect base for couples, friends or families and is ideal for those wanting to give their cars a rest. Lytham St Annes is both cosmopolitan and sophisticated, and most famously characterised by its picturesque windmill which can be found on Lytham Green. It’s home to a fabulous selection of good quality pubs, restaurants, bars, and shops as well as championship golf courses. Further along the seafront in neighbouring St Anne’s you’ll find a huge sandy beach complete with award winning beach huts, and a laughing statue of former resident Les Dawson. A little further again and you’ll reach the bright lights, glitz, glamour, and razzamatazz of Blackpool which is also easily accessible on the local bus route. Annual events in the area include the five-day Lytham Festival, which over the years has hosted the likes of Rod Stewart, Madness, and Marti Pellow. The Lytham 1940s Wartime Weekend takes place each August, and at the St Anne’s International Kite Festival colourful kites of all shapes and sizes fill the skies. Finally, if you fancy a change of scenery swapping the coast to countryside, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding National Beauty can be reached in half an hour or the Lake District National Park in just over an hour.
