Carefully converted to allow for maximum space and light, these three single-storey barn conversions stand within the owner’s working stud farm, and offer the ideal base for couples, walking groups and families wishing to enjoy a farm lifestyle, yet are within easy driving distance to many attractions, towns and villages. All of the barn conversions have high vaulted ceilings and plentiful beams, and have spacious open-plan living areas. Little Barn (ref UKC2539) is detached, and Chiddock Cottage (ref UKC2540) and Chidley Cottage (ref UKC2541) adjoin one another in an L shape. All of the properties have rustic concrete floors with rugs, and are furnished using natural woods of differing origins. Outside, there is a decked sitting-out area for each property, a shared enclosed courtyard area with raised planting beds where vegetables, herbs and fruit grow, a circular central feature with fire pit, an outdoor pizza oven and BBQ. There is also a small farm shop, a rustic play area for children and freshly laid eggs daily from the on-site chickens! For guests who may wish to bring a horse, the owners offer livery available by prior arrangement. Discover scenic walks from the door, Midgham Farm Copse lies at the end of a track within 40 acres of woodland along the Avon Valley path, which leads all the way from Christchurch to Salisbury. For those that like the outdoor lifestyle this is a great place, as there is on-site archery, axe throwing and fishing in the River Avon (licence required). Nearby there is horse riding, the New Forest Water Park for cable wakeboarding, an aqua park, kayaking and other water sports. For those bringing dogs, there are plenty of excellent walks all around, many of which offer great bird and wildlife spotting. Places to visit include Alderholt Mill, which has a working watermill open to visitors and also offers cream teas at the weekend during the summer, and Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, which has orienteering, cycle hire, golf, forest Segway, walking groups, canoeing, petanque and craftmaking. Avon Heath Country Park is also within easy driving distance and is ideal for keen ramblers. The New Forest National Park provides miles of scenic walks and a network of bridle paths and footpaths, and you can often find ponies, donkeys and cattle roaming freely. The charming town of Fordingbridge, which has a host of shops, cafés and eateries, and the gentle flowing River Avon are also both nearby. Ringwood also has a good selection of shops and restaurants, and is about a 15-minute drive away. These barn conversions are convenient for road links to the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, Christchurch Harbour and the coast, including Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth. Other places of interest include Beaulieu Motor Museum, Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World, Adventure Wonderland, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, New Forest Wildlife Park and maritime Southampton. Beach 15 miles. Shop on-site, pub and restaurant 2 miles. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests.
