Ollies Cottage
Ollie’s Cottage is perfect for families and couples alike to enjoy a self-catering holiday in this special part of South Devon. Cleverly arranged over three floors Ollie’s Cottage captures river views from the kitchen and living room and benefits from a private patio and parking space at the rear. Ollies Cottage is within walking distance of the river and village amenities. Dogs are welcome at Ollie's Cottage. The front door opens into the hall, from here you step into a bright open plan kitchen/dining room well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining area has pine table and chairs and an antique side table with CD player and radio. French windows from the dining area lead into an enclosed paved patio. Downstairs there is also a cloakroom with toilet and wash basin. On the first-floor guests will find a light and comfortable sitting room with corner sofa, views of the river, open fire and TV with DVD. At the far end of the room separated by room dividers are two single divan beds. On this floor you will also find the spacious bathroom containing a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin. Upstairs again to the second floor where guest will find 2 bedrooms set into the eves of the cottage, the first is a large attractive double bedroom the second is a small children’s bunk bedroom with roof window. Travel cot available. Outside: The patio garden at the rear of the property is the perfect space for alfresco dining on summer evenings, fully enclosed with garden furniture and flowerbeds. Parking: There is parking to the rear in the shared private car park and additional unrestricted on street parking on Riverside Road. Availability: In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Saturday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact me with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible. Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Saturday changeover. Dart Valley Cottages is available throughout the day and early evening via phone and email. Dittisham is a picturesque historic village on the banks of the river Dart. The village pub The Red Lion is a 2-minute walk around the corner (don't worry it is not known to be noisy) The Red Lion also hosts the village shop and post office. A 10 minute walk will take you to The Quay where you will find the Ferry Boat Inn and The Anchorstone Cafe as well as ferries to Greenway and Dartmouth. There is parking for one car behind the property and more close by. From the Quay ferries and river taxis can be caught to Dartmouth, Stoke Gabriel and Greenway (the home of Agatha Christy). Bed linens, pillows, duvets, basic soaps, toilet and kitchen roll are all provided however we do not provide towels at Ollie's Cottage.
