'Half-pint Cottage' a Romantic Cotswold village hideaway for two. Ultra modern facilities and a period feel. Country walks in all directions, and 17thC inn on the doorstep which serves wonderful food. Pet friendly. This is a quirky cottage with exposed Cotswold stone walls and steep windy stairs. Half-pint Cottage is perfect for a couple who wish to be independent . One well behaved dog also welcome. Although we love children, we regret that the cottage is unsuitable, because of the staircase. The cottage is entirely self contained, with a kitchen, bathroom, lounge, and a cosy bedroom with queen size bed tucked under the eaves. Exclusive use of fully enclosed cottage garden, with patio area. The house is prepared for your exclusive use by Lucy. Our son Simon is available in emergencies to offer advice and or help. "Half-pint Cottage", is situated in the village of Selsley, with its pretty Cotswold houses, a working farm, seventeenth century inn, and Selsley Common, a vast open space with far ranging views. Selsley Parish Church is famous for its beautiful "Pre-Raphaelite" stained glass windows. Selsley is situated on the "Cotswold Way" walking route. The adjacent town of Stroud is renowned for its Saturday Farmers'Market, canal , and the beauty of its" five valleys". Many stately homes, National Trust gardens, and towns such as Bath, Cheltenham , Tetbury and Gloucester are within an easy drive. Stroud is situated on a mainline train route, and is within easy reach of Bristol and London.The cottage can then be reached by local bus(10min ride) or taxi. By car, the M5 motorway is within a short drive. No parking at cottage but plentiful village parking alongside the Bell Inn. There is a large supermarket within an easy walk from the cottage. Fully equiped kitchen includes induction hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer. Basic essentials supplied Queen size bed with cotton linen, feather duvet and towels provided. Gas central heating . Wood burning stove with unlimited logs available. Wide screen TV/DVD/ sound centre/ WIFI Please note that the staircase is typical of an old cottage (steep and windy)
