A pretty well-equipped character cottage situated yards from an historic canal basin and country pub, with wonderful walks from the door. Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park with easy access to Kinder Scout. Many stately homes and places of interest can be found nearby and Manchester, Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and the Cheshire towns and villages offer entertainment shopping and theatres. The Peak Forest canal is only a few yards walk and the restored Bugsworth Canal basin is a fascinating place to explore. The Black brook also runs behind the cottage. A perfect spot for a relaxing break away. Waters Reach retains many features from when it was built and has been sympathetically renovated to accommodate modern day living. The sitting room is cosy in winter with a log burner and tartan furnishings and the leather suite and dining chairs add a touch of luxury to the period furnishings. The TV is equipped with Free Sat. The dining table was hand made and extends to seat 5. The light spacious modern bathroom contains a spa bath with shower over (NB this is NOT a hot tub but a bath with a spa bubble feature built in), luxury fluffy towels, soaps and shower gels, and the two spacious bedrooms are well equipped with quality beds and furnishings. Central heating is powered by gas, and there are televisions in the sitting room and both bedrooms. Each bedroom has a tv with Freeview. The hand made kitchen is well equipped, and includes a breakfast bar and a washing machine, microwave and fridge. A chest freezer is available for guests use in the outbuilding. There is room in the outbuilding for bicycles should guests wish to bring them. The property is situated just yards from an historic country pub and canal basin. Colourful narrowboats are always moored in the restored basin and it is fascinating to explore the area and discover the history from the many signs and pictures around. It is a short drive to a good Tesco supermarket which can also be reached via a pleasant walk along the tow path.
