Willow View Summary:
Summary: Willow View Tiny House is situated on the outskirts of the quaint village of Boolarra, just 2 hours from Melbourne CBD and in the heart of the rolling green hills of South Gippsland. The township of Boolarra is a very quiet rural village with a country vibe, consisting of a General Store, Post Office, and a Hotel. You won’t feel too isolated here though, with the distant sounds of farm animals on neighbouring properties. You may hear the occasional cow moo or sheep baa amongst the bird song and the evening “pobblebonk—pobblebonk” frog chatter. There is no one else on the property, so you may enjoy the beautiful landscape at your own pace. The Tiny House is located on a generous one hectare (2 acres) of gently sloping land where you can enjoy the beautiful setting amongst the trees and gardens with views to the Strezlecki Range. There is a small foot bridge to the creek and a seasonal wetland at the bottom of the property. Depending on recent rain as to how much water and birdlife is in the wetland area. Several seating spots are located around the property to sit and appreciate the environment. There is so much to enjoy here such as bird watching, bush walks, bike riding. Bring your bike, or bring your walking shoes, explore the local villages, go for scenic drives, and wake up to the sound of kookaburras and magpies. Regular visitors to the bird feeder near the driveway are Rosellas, King Parrots, Galahs, Top Knot Pidgeon, Native Miners, Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos. The property is adjacent to natural bushland and is perfect for fitness enthusiasts who wish to take advantage of the Grand Ridge Rail Trail to walk, run, or cycle. The start of the Grand Ridge Rail Trail is just 300 metres away in the Boolarra Park or you can access the trail right from the rear of the property. The Grand Ridge Rail Trail is 13 kilometres to the nearby town of Mirboo North where there are several options of cafes for coffee and meals. South Gippsland offers something for everyone with spectacular scenery, farm gate produce, cafes, art galleries, markets, many nature walks, wineries, special sight- seeing spots and swimming holes. There are several brochures in the Tiny Home to help you get the most out of your stay. The Tiny House is well screened from the nearby road with extensive bushland and 3 metre solid fencing, offering complete privacy. Please note that pets are not allowed in the property. The Space: Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons! The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space. Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimises odours. If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!
