The Cart Lodge at Grove Barn

The Cart Lodge is a separate self-contained former cart lodge and store in the grounds of Grove Barn all set in private gardens in quiet Suffolk countryside. The red brick and oak framed structure with lapped wood cladding was constructed in 1873. The newly refitted, fully equipped, first floor apartment is accessed via an external stair from ground level. There is ample parking for two cars and a reserved garden area with garden table and BBQ. The apartment has a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area, two double bedrooms and a shower/wetroom. All rooms, with garden views, are under a pitched roof dramatically increasing the sense of space, oak cross beams add to the historic background. There is underfloor heating throughout plus: TV, wi-fi, washer/dryer, ironing board/iron, etc. The owners live adjacent to the Cart Lodge at Grove Barn, a mid 18th century oak framed conversion. You will have complete privacy but the owners will normally be at hand for an introductory tour or, if not, will give advice for key access. Guidance notes for the use of the apartment and local interest, places to visit, etc. are provided. Please note the following regarding periods of stay: Our bookings window is from Saturday to Saturday. During peak periods (asterisked*) the minimum period of stay is 7 nights. See lower down for 3 and 4 night stays. The weekly rates for 2022, 7 night, stays are: 8th January to 25th March: £770.00 26th March to 15th April: £980.00 16th April to 27th May: £910.00 *28th May to 3rd June: £1120.00 4th June to 24th June: £910.00 25th June to 8th July: £1050.00 *9th July to 2nd September: £1190.00 *3rd September to 9th September: £1120.00 10th September to 23rd September: £980.00 24th September to 14th October: £910.00 15th October to 28th October: £980.00 29th October to 16th December: £770.00 *20th December to 6th January '23: £1190.00 Please note as stated above 7 day bookings commence on Saturdays. Short stays: For 3 nights, bookings can commence on Saturday or Wednesday For 4 nights, bookings can commence on Saturday or Tuesday Short stays for either 3 or 4 days are charged at 70% of the applicable full weekly rate.
