Whether you're a returning or first-time visitor to Abaco, Li'l Gecko Cottage provides the perfect place as your base to explore Great Guana Cay in Abaco, Bahamas. This 2-bedroom (king-sized beds), 2-bathroom (plus a tranquil outdoor garden shower) cottage is newly renovated after Hurricane Dorian and is finally available for short-term rental. Thoughtfully equipped with comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces, you'll easily find your favorite place to relax and enjoy the paradise that is Great Guana Cay - whether it's our crow's nest with views of the sea and ocean, or our lower level gardens full of tropical plants and birds. Due to the crow's nest and furnishings, we are not appropriate for children under the age of 16 or pets. The inside and upstairs porch are entirely renovated; be aware that the gardens and downstairs spaces are an ongoing post-Dorian project, which are fortunately rapidly returning to their previous lushness. Guana Cay itself (like all of Abaco) is still in the rebuild process; please reach out to us with any questions about island-wide amenities such as dining, golf cart and boat rentals, etc. (this is ever-changing at the moment). your home base for a few days — or weeks You'll find the amenities at Li'l Gecko Cottage well thought out to ensure your stay is comfortable. - The cottage offers easy access to the sea, ocean and settlement - 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom newly (July 2021) renovated cottage - Enjoy the tranquil beaches, island life, island hopping, snorkeling, etc. - A generator powers the house in event of extended outages; it is not however automatic, but is an easy push-button start. We supply you with a full tank and an extra full gas can to refill the tank; this will run the home for roughly 36 hours. If you need more (unleaded) gas, you can buy at Orchid Bay. - Default time between rentals is 2 days; it is likely possible for us to override this based on our caretaker's availability - please contact us. -Discounts available for short-notice or longer term bookings ***This is our second home and we've worked very hard to build it back after Dorian into a comfortable place for us and our guests. Please treat it as such.
