River Cottage - Characterful cottage near St. Ives
Set on a farm in a wooded valley on the edge of Nancledra village, River Cottage is a beautiful conversion of a 200 year old farm building. With thick stone walls and beamed ceilings, this characterful two bedroomed cottage is a wonderfully peaceful place to stay at any time of the year. River Cottage is furnished with antique furniture to give it a unique style that guests will love along with the peaceful sound of the small river behind the building as it flows past the cottage. On the ground floor is the large open-plan living/dining room with wingback chairs, large fireplace and exposed beams. Off the living room is a cloakroom/WC with shower and the well-stocked kitchen with a fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Upstairs can be found the large master bedroom with antique wooden bed and a spacious single bedroom. The is also the family bathroom. Outside, guests will have access to a beautiful garden and summerhouse with a space for a BBQ should you wish. The garden is shared with the other farm cottages. There is central heating throughout River Cottage and all electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included. Wi-Fi is also provided free of charge. There is off-road parking for one car. Regrettably no dogs and no children under 12. River Cottage is within easy reach of St Ives, with its huge selection of independent shops, art galleries and restaurants, and the stunning north coast. Marazion is just 6 miles away on the south coast and is home to the iconic St Michael’s Mount and its two wonderful beaches. The historic port of Penzance, the fishing harbour of Newlyn and the pretty fishing village of Mousehole are just a few of the amazing towns and villages which are well worth visiting. The local shop is within 1 mile, the pub is only a few minutes walk away and there are numerous restaurants all within a short radius.
