The local shopping centre is within walking distance and there you will find a variety of cafes, 2 pubs, the famous Burra Brewery who do a fabulous pizza, takeaway or eat in, and several interesting vintage shops. There is an IGA supermarket and a great fish and chip shop as well as Chinese and Indian cuisine. Korumburra is situated 30 minutes from Wonthaggi and Wilsons Prom is approximately an hours drive. You could also drive to Phillip Island, about an hours drive, to visit the penguins. Inverloch is 20 minutes away and access to the beautiful beaches of the Bass Coast. Leongatha is a 15 minute drive where you will find Woolies and Aldi, K-mart and a substantial shopping precinct.
