Willy Wagtail Cottage
Live like a local in this 2-bedroom 2-bathroom cottage within a safe and leafy neighbourhood. It is only 20 mins drive to Perth City and 15 mins drive to Fremantle. The airport is 30 mins away. Reliable public transport is available. This is a 2016 built cottage, light and bright with high ceilings. You will find it hidden away at the end of a private driveway. There is enough space to park two cars. There are two bedrooms and two attached bathrooms. The bedrooms have queen-sized beds with electric blankets, a large wardrobe with sliding mirror doors, bedside tables and lamps, and ceiling fans. Each bathroom has a large walk-in shower with good water pressure, a vanity and toilet. One bathroom has a second door, so your visitors can enter without going through the bedroom. The kitchen, dining and lounge rooms are open-plan. These areas have reverse-cycle airconditioning for both cooling and heating. In the kitchen is a large fridge/freezer and lots of storage space. There is a hideaway laundrette with washing machine, trough and cordless vacuum cleaner. Washing can be hung out to dry on a clothesline outside. Guest access You have access to the whole house. Should you only need one room, the other will not be let to anyone else. Interaction with guests Assistance will be available to you throughout your stay. I am contactable by phone, messenger or email. If all else fails, you can walk to my house in the next street. The neighbourhood Winthrop used to be a pine plantation, now developed into a housing estate. The typical homes here are spacious bungalows of individual design, with large backyards. There are many parks dotted through the suburb that you can walk to. The closest is Winthrop Park just a street away, where group exercises are conducted daily on weekdays, and sports like cricket, footy and soccer are played most weekends. Across the park is a deli/minimart for essential supplies. A 10 minute walk up the street will take you to beautiful Piney Lakes, a perfect spot for picnics and exploring nature trails. Winthrop Village shopping centre is a 15 minute walk away. Getting around It is easy to catch a bus to the port of Fremantle, or a bus/train to Perth City. Closer to home are major shopping precincts of Garden City, Bull Creek, Kardinya and Cockburn Central. Beaches of choice are Port Beach, South Fremantle and Cottesloe. Other things to note If you would rather not cook, there are cafes, restaurants and fast food places to walk to; or you could order a delivery.
