Mucky Cottage is a detached cottage restsing in Naunton sleeping twelve people in five bedrooms. Mucky Cottage is a unique and spacious hideaway on the edge of the charming village of Naunton, set in expansive grounds, this wonderful home has breath-taking views over the Windrush Valley and is the perfect retreat for a family or a group of friends. Ample parking welcomes you on arrival as you unload your luggage from your cars and marvel at the stunning property before you, before entering into the front door which opens up to a bright entrance hall, handy for storing coats and muddy boots. Wander into the spacious sitting room which offers lovely views of the garden and is a tranquil space for you to chill out on the large corner sofa as you pop on a DVD or choose from the selection of board games, as you’re warmed by the woodburning stove. The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for rustling up an evening meal before retreating to the dining room in the beautiful Cotswold stone orangery to enjoy your food, surrounded by panoramic views of the rolling countryside beyond. The ground floor also hosts a utility room sat adjacent to the kitchen, a shower room, a handy cloakroom and lastly one of the bedrooms, which has pleasing views overlooking the garden and contains a king-size bed, a quaint ornamental Cotswold stone fireplace and a gorgeous wooden piano for budding pianists to practice their notes. Climbing upstairs to the first floor, you will find two homely bedrooms, the master has impressive views over the Windrush valley, contains a king-size bed and benefits from a separate dressing room and a large en-suite walk-in rain shower room, the second bedroom is bright and spacious and contains an inviting king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom. Further stairs lead up to the eaves of the house on the second floor where you will find two further bedrooms and a shower room, bedroom three is a characterful dual aspect room with sloping ceilings and low beams containing a king-size bed and additional small double sofa bed, the fourth bedroom is ideal for children and contains twin beds with an additional small double sofa bed with an en-suite walk-in shower room. Once you’ve got well acquainted with the internal rooms, head to the extensive grounds that cover around half an acre, which boasts panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and is mostly lawn, with a patio area bordering the orangery dining area, where you can sit and enjoy the fresh country air. The Black Horse Inn is the local pub which provides great views into the heart of the Cotswolds.
