Downstairs you will find open plan living which feels cosy and light and airy at the same time, making this space such a joy to relax in. This cottage really is perfect for year-round breaks as it offers a lovely south facing patio and garden nicknamed the gin trap by its owner, for the warmer months and a glorious wood burner which is perfect for when things are just that little bit chillier. If you can tear yourself away from this gorgeous retreat, you will find yourself close to lots of lovely sites and experiences. The coastline lies just six miles away and here you will find an array of sand and shingle beaches, rolling sand dunes, salt and clay marshes and picturesque quays. Head to nearby Cromer and take a stroll on the famous pier where you can also catch their seasonal end of pier show. Then head to Blakeney for a spot of crab-lining or take a seasonal boat trip out to see the seals. Don’t miss a day in Wells-next-the-Sea with its wide sandy beach, painted beach huts and picturesque quay which is just begging to be added to your insta feed. The nearby Georgian town of Holt is a firm favourite with many locals due to its truly unique high street, which is packed with great places to eat, drink and shop. And if you come in the lead up to Christmas the town transforms into a sea of magical twinkling lights. You can also enjoy the Thursford Collection’s Christmas Spectacular and Santa’s Magical Journey at this time too, though booking tickets ahead is a must. You are also within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads and can be in the heart of here in just 40 minutes. For a change of pace, you can even visit the medieval city of Norwich, which is just a 45 minute drive away.
