Lovingly restored throughout by its owners in 2021, Town Hall Cottage’s country style exudes character and warmth with its double frontage and signature red door. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a beautiful master bedroom offering a king-size bed, (which can be twin on request). An elegant and peaceful room, just the place to catch up on some well-earned rest. Next door you’ll find the second bedroom set with twin beds, with décor to match the master bedroom. The bathroom is also upstairs and comes complete with a clawfoot bath for sumptuous soaking. There is a separate shower for convenience along with, handbasin and toilet. There is a separate ground floor WC. The rear courtyard, which is completely enclosed, is wholly private and perfect for a morning coffee. Accessed from the first floor is a spacious balcony area set with table and chairs, a lovely spot for enjoying an evening aperitif. For keen cyclists there are endless choices from the Sandstone Way to Kielder Forest Trails. For walkers, choose beautiful walks along the River Tyne or hearty hikes along Hadrian’s Wall. Visit the historic market town of Hexham (5 miles away), which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge (a further 4 miles) and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and visit the Roman site. The Northumberland National Park and International Dark Skies Park are both close by, offering fabulous scenery and views. The location is excellent for exploring Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts and the world-famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall.
