Entirely corseted with ramparts, medieval or due to Vauban, the city is nestled at the foot of its belfry, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO About 4 km of fortifications surround the city and green spaces have developed nearby . Walking paths have been laid out in order to circulate freely and with dry feet, through the military remains, most of which are of Vauban's design.
