Approximately half an acre of manicured grass, fully fenced for safe and secure exercising of your children or canine FurKids. Horse yard with loose box to be constructed for those equestrians passing through to Ag Shows or pleasure riding through the beautiful Shadforth Reserve directly opposite. Urban tranquility yet only minutes from Village centre. The Space: Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and heating. Perfect for 2 persons! The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximise space. Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via an aerobic decomposition process. It is a water less system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimizes odors. If you're using your own soap, shampoo, tooth paste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the grey water runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you! Guest Access: Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings. Tiny house is within fenced boundary and front garden. The Neighborhood: Violet Town is a friendly and welcoming community. This is the first inland Victorian town to be surveyed. Almost all street names have floral connections such as Rose Street. Monthly Market is one of the biggest in Victoria. We are a quiet Village of cafes, pub, museum, opp shop, craft shops, produce store, antiques, medical centre, pharmacy, and more. You may visit Memorial park commemorating 1969 Southern Aurora train crash. Our local recommendations: Food Scene 1. Farmer's market Sightseeing 1. Benalla Art Gallery 2. Rose Garden 3. Gliding Centre of Victoria 4. Euroa-ANZAC Memorial 5. Arboretum Getting Around: By Car : Just 2kms off Hume Freeway, 178kms north of Melbourne. Many varied places of interest within 40 km radius. By public transport : Regular daily V-Line service from Melbourne to Albury. Visit Violet Town enroute and connect to XPT at Albury for Sydney. We will collect you from the Station at no extra cost. Nearest City : Benalla (35 minutes driving time) Nearest Town : Violet Town (2 minutes driving time) Other Things to Note: - We are a dog friendly property as long as they are social and not savage. Strictly no pets inside the tiny house. Guests must clean up after their pets doggy-doo. - Only dogs that are vaccinated for kennel cough with proof of vaccination is allowed. - We are a horse friendly property as well but can only bring one, If you wish to bring 2 horses, this can be done by arrangement. Owners should be responsible for manure pickup. - No washing of cars or animals. - We have 3 quiet kelpies in our adjoining block. - Please expect occasional goods train noise in distance. Interaction with Guests: Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.
