Mary Mackay's Cottage is situated in the Highland Town of Tain which is located on the famous NC500 route and is a short distance from numerous distilleries, golf courses and award winning beaches. The shops, bars and restaurants of Tain are a short walk away. Visitors to the area are spoilt for choice on things to do, Glenmorangie Distillery, Dunrobin Castle and Royal Dornoch Golf Course are all a short drive from the cottage as is the Falls of Shin, an ideal place to see the salmon leap The cottage is on a quiet side street and has a large dining kitchen, which is equipped with a new oven, hob, washing machine, fridge freezer and dining table for four people, a lounge with TV, DVD player as well as a log burner for those winter stays, bathroom with shower all on the ground floor. Parking is off road for one car, there is free parking on the street, and access to the very large garage can be provided by prior arrangement for secure storage of sports equipment, small boats or a second car. Central heating, electricity and wifi are all included. Sorry no pets and having been let down badly by contractors who do not leave the cottage as they find it any bookings made by contractors will be declined - sorry but based on two experiences in the last month where our guests have shown no respect for our property we will refuse bookings from people who appear to be using the cottage for work Guest access is self check using the secure key safe on the garage A quiet side-street a short distance from the centre of Tain Private off-road parking and access to a very large secure garage can be provided by prior arrangement Sorry no pets
