Modern Farmhouse in Salisbury near Berkshires

**Now booking for Summer 2022** A modern farmhouse located in beautiful, friendly Salisbury CT. Sweeping views out the back porch, wooded seclusion, yet walk to Lakeville and the private lake for swimming. Family friendly, warm and welcoming. You will have the full house, which includes most of the bedrooms on the second floor plus an additional room and bathroom above the garage, accessible through the main entrance. There is a finished room in the basement that is ideal for kids playtime or an extra guest on an air mattress. Family friendly! We have a full crib, an extra pack n play, tons of toys, and a booster seat. Bedroom 4 above the garage has a pack n play as well as a play area. There is a tv with Roku, and a wood-burning stove for cozy evenings. The house is self-entry but we are available to answer questions at any time. In Lakeville you can stop by the Studio for spinning or the Boathouse for a meal, or pop into any of the antique shops. In Salisbury, sit on the porch of the White Hart with a coffee or have dessert at Sweet William. Great Barrington with tons of amenities is only 25 minutes away. Kids can play at the great playground at Salisbury Central School, a 7 minute walk from the house. Nearby you can go horseback riding at Riga Stables or hike a portion of the Appalachian Trail. Drive into Millerton for the Picture House, tea at Harney & Sons, or a browse through the excellent Oblong Booksellers. For skiing, Catamount is 25 minutes north and has an excellent kids program. Butternut is outside Great Barrington. Jiminy Peak is further north but an easy day trip. Car is necessary but you can walk into Lakeville (1 mile).
