Suite Jane - entire 2 bedroom apartment

Step back in time in this lovely historic cottage in Elsah, Illinois. You will have entire private use of an upstairs apartment above a ladies' clothing boutique. The unit features high ceilings, bead board paneling, old wavy glass windows, a full kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, and refrigerator & in unit laundry, 2 bedrooms and 2 twin beds in the living room (daybed and trundle). Wifi and TV are provided. The location is just on the main village road. Linens, dishes, towels provided. Please note this is an upstairs unit with a steep staircase. There are minimal window coverings, therefore this is a very bright apartment. The entire apartment is yours to use. We live nearby, but keys can be accessed via key box for easy check in/check out. The entire village of Elsah is on the National Registry of Historic Places. This stone house is was built in 1856 by Louis Keller. a barrel maker. In the late 1800's he added the mansard roof and rear addition. You will feel like you are stepping back in time as you wander around the town and stop into the General Store around the corner for a snack or groceries! Elsah is connected to neighboring towns such as Alton, Godfrey, and Grafton via the Great River Road (National Scenic Byway) which also has a great bicycle path. At the end of your stay, we ask that you help our housekeeper by wiping the counters, using the dishwasher if needed, and stripping the linens.
