"The Castle" A Charming 1890 Home

Circa 1890, This Historic home has lots of unique antique character with modern style! Has 12 foot ceilings and original wood floors. House is fully furnished including king size bed, sofa sleeper, chair with twin sleeper, 6 burner Wolf range and all the cook ware! The master bath has a large brick walk in shower. The original hardware and painted walls from 1890 have been preserved! Rear has large covered cypress deck with charcoal pit and brick patio. Located in very quiet, peaceful area!! The home is a perfect twist of historic structure with modern fixings. It's carefully decorated with unique pieces that connect it to the Louisiana Cajun culture. The age and character of this home give it a great atmosphere! The large covered back deck usually has a breeze and is awesome space for reading, conversation or grilling. Guests have full access to all interior home amenities, condiments, ingredients, and BBQ pit. Unfortunately, our insurance policy does not allow us to give guests access to the brick gas fire pit. Would be delighted to meet up if our schedules allow, however we do try to make access easy and self-sufficient for our guests. We do not live on the property but do try to stop in an introduce ourselves when time permits. My family resides next door and down the street. Very quiet and peaceful area just outside the busy city but easy access to the center of Lafayette. Vehicle necessary PLEASE note we will be switching our TV service from cable to ROKU on May 1st, 2019. We will have local channels plus Roku.
