Covid 19 - 2022 News In keeping within CDC guidelines, we are reducing the 3 day spacing between reservations to 24 hours. We are following all the recommended cleaning protocol. (Funny that I have been doing ALL of that anyway since I am a clean freak, but adding disinfectant as final wipe down) plus adding a step not on their list like changing A/C filter after each guest. Unfortunately, to keep us safe, while the pool and patio is open, but we are not allowing use of our screened porch area. Private one bedroom one bath garage apt with full kitchen with brand new appliances One comfortable queen bed in bedroom. (There is a 3/4 wall separating space from LR, but no door) Living room has one queen sofa bed which is actually quite comfortable! We do allow beyond 4 people, but just do not have beds for them. But please feel free to bring blow up bed and or pitch a tent under the stars. Great Wi-Fi Large dining table with 6 chairs to sit if you wish to cook in the fully stocked kitchen. Access to our personal 12 x 45 salt water swimming pool located behind our house. Has a swim out area just 9" deep for the kiddies. Enjoy the country life and watch the milky way sparkle after dark. Cool nights, sit around the fire pit and roast marshmallows while watching for shooting stars. You provide the marshmallows and we will provide the firewood for each night of your stay. Gas BBQ grill available for your use Horse shoe pit AND corn hole set Fenced yard to let the dogs run free - yippee- no leash!! Full access to private detached garage apartment. Complete private use of our 12 x 45 salt water pool as we do not use it when we have guests! Has a 9" depth swim out area for the little ones! Fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator and stove. Has cookware, bake ware, dinnerware, silverware, you don't need to bring a thing! Dogs are welcome!!! Off leash too!! Entire front yard is fenced in for the 4 legged family members to run free. Sorry, but not permitted in the pool area. Large bathroom with tall commode and handicap access with 48" door leading to the bathroom, but does not have grab bars. Sometimes we leave for the weekend giving you total privacy. We do not have any cameras in or near the apartment, just ones pointing to the the barn and pasture to make sure our livestock are safe. Our farm has 52 acres surrounded by pasture and woods with wildlife; you cannot see a neighboring house!!! We raise horses, cows and goats. Petting area for the goats next to the apartment. Bring the bread! Spring time we have newborn foals by our horses and kids by our mommy goats. Relax by the pool and watch then all graze Total isolation on the farm, yet it is only 15 minutes to I-85 at exit 149. THINGS TO DO OFF THE FARM Shopping- To the North- DO NOT SPEED – Speed limit drops from 65, to 55 to 45 in 100 feet!!! Straight up highway 441 in Baldwin, 15 minutes to Ingles grocery store 5 minutes further North on highway 441 Super Walmart To the South- Straight down highway 441 in Banks Crossing, Commerce 15 minutes to I-85 Tanger Outlet mall and Super Walmart Restaurants- To the North-Straight up 441 Three Mexican Restaurants Pizza and Italian – AJ’s right beyond Super Walmart Turn left off highway 441and there is a local Steak Restaurant- Ribeys behind Burger King – Good steak and seafood and there is a Longhorn is across the street and behind Starbucks To the South- Straight down 441 Outback, Longhorn, Mexican, Ruby Tuesdays, Cracker Barrel, Chinese, Japanese Winery- There are several in North Georgia. Closest is Currahee Vineyard & Winery in Toccoa - Turn right out of driveway and head towards the town of Toccoa – Winery is right past traffic light Golf and Tennis- Chimney Oaks in Homer – Take highway 51 to old highway 441 and turn right on Scales Creek Hiking- Lots of hiking straight up highway 441 to Tallulah Gorge in 45 minutes Panther Creek is also a nice trail in Hollywood off old highway 441 before Clayton Anna Ruby Falls – Helen - 40 minutes to the North Toccoa Falls – Toccoa – 20-25 minutes taking a right out of driveway Local History- Currahee Military Museum – Toccoa – 20-25 minutes taking a right out of driveway Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art – Demorest – 20 minutes North highway 441 Loudermilk Boarding House & Elvis Museum – Cornelia – 15 minutes North highway 441 Fishing- Lots of trout streams in North Georgia. Closest stocked stream is 10 miles from the house. Turn right out of driveway and turn left on Cannon Road and then take first right (dirt road) which leads into the Lake Russell WMA. Horseback Riding – Sunburst Stables Adventures – Clarksville 35-40 Minutes to the North Car Dirt Track Racing- There are 3 in the area- Hartwell, Lavonia and closest is in Toccoa Movie Theaters- To the South at Banks Crossing – Commerce Cinemas To the North – Up highway 441 on highway 441 in Mt Airy, Habersham Hills Cinemas BabyLand General – Cabbage Patch Kids - Cleveland - 35 Minutes to the North We are 3 miles from highway 441 which leads to Cherokee NC and Harrah's Casino and the Great Smokey Mountains only 1 hour and 45 minutes away. We are 15 minutes north of I-85 Less than hour drive straight down interstate to Infinite Energy Center in Duluth GA. 45 minutes to UGA - University of Georgia 45 minutes to Clemson University 30 minutes to Piedmont College Due to Covid-19 will not be providing breakfast. Feel free to pick fresh vegetables from the garden when in season. We will allow "events" or parties. Please contact me before booking for more information and pricing for these type of reservations. There is a one time $60 pet fee but no deposit necessary. You will required to sign a release of liability form as this is a working farm and have access to our pool.
