The bright living space utilises the full height of the original hall, with a gallery area above the lounge. There is a twin bedroom (with ensuite facilities) on the ground floor adjacent to the family bathroom. Two double bedrooms are accessed from the landing gallery – both rooms, with restful décor and stylish furnishings, have double beds and ensuite shower rooms. The ‘Master’ bedroom – like all the rooms this is ensuite - has its own staircase at the rear of the Hall and is above the twin room – making it an ideal family unit. A blissful night’s sleep awaits you in the super comfortable kingsize bed. Our guests love that it’s only a short walk from the former village school to the sandy beach and pier, rocky coastline, pubs and restaurants in the picturesque conservation village of Port Charlotte. It’s a peaceful setting with views to Loch Indaal and glimpses of the Oa Peninsula and the Paps of Jura in the distance. Designed for modern life and equipped to the highest specification, these apartments are ideal for solo travellers, couples, extended or large families and groups of friends. The housekeeper will meet you at the property upon arrival and departure and is available by telephone at all other times. Port Charlotte is a picturesque conservation village in the Rhinns of Islay, with a sandy beach and far-reaching sea views. Port Charlotte is the ideal base for a holiday exploring the island of Islay and touring the world famous whisky distilleries. The village is made up of traditional white-washed cottages and houses decorated with pretty flower pots. With plenty of things to see and do and a couple of pubs and restaurants, all within easy walking distance from our holiday accommodation, Port Charlotte is perfect for families and groups of friends. Wherever you go in Port Charlotte, the views across Loch Indaal towards the Mull of Oa and the Paps of Jura are stunning - you'll instantly feel yourself relax. The nearest bus stop is a minute's walk from the property providing public transport around the island. There is a private, off-road car parking space at rear of Port Charlotte Hall. PLEASE NOTE: We recommend that you book your ferry or flight to Islay as soon as possible as the popular ferries/flights can fill up quickly during key summer and peak period dates such as bank holidays, Easter, special event weeks on Islay. Port Charlotte is approximately 20 miles from Port Ellen and 16 miles from Port Askaig. Please allow plenty of travel time when booking your return ferry.
