Breakers Sound - Thatched Cottage with sea views
Breakers Sound is a detached, listed thatched cottage that sits within an acre of mature gardens with stunning sea views across the English Channel from most areas of the property. The historic village of St Lawrence sits within an area of outstanding natural beauty, with coastal and country walks on the doorstep of the cottage and easy access to many of the island's attractions. The cottage is completely surrounded with mature gardens and lawned areas. There are two main patio areas, one with a goldfish pond and waterfall feature and a further raised sun terrace with stunning sea views. A short walk to Woody Bay for fossil hunting and direct access to the coastal path to Ventnor via the Botanical Gardens and Steephill Cove which is 10/15mins walk away. Breakers Sound is a 5 minute drive away from the lovely, traditional seaside town of Ventnor, which has a large sandy beach and attractive promenade with many restaurants, bars and cafes. Further into Ventnor town there are a number of vintage shops and antique stores that have made Ventnor a very popular shopping destination, even appealing to famous celebrities! To the East of Ventnor is Bonchurch, which is a stunning village where Charles Dickens once stayed. Stooped in history, Bonchurch offers some great walks, and there is also a fantastic secluded beach. Sadly no dogs or pets allowed.
