Little Nook - Watlington's treasure!

This unique, boutique style, 2 bedroom property, newly renovated and furnished in early 2019, offers the perfect hide away from which to savour our quintessentially English town of Watlington! Covid-19 update...... Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to keep our guests and staff safe at this time. We have changed our booking status to a minimum of 10 days until the end of September. This is to allow for extra time before and after each booking for the enhanced cleaning process to take place, making shorter stays nonviable. We have updated our procedures and cleaning protocols taking into account the additional disinfection requirement and adequate ventilation of the property. Minimal contact will take place with guests who will be able to self check in, spare laundry will be left for mid-term changes as necessary and self check out....... Whilst the building is old and retains many original features, the decor is modern, well thought out and comfortable. The two bedrooms each have a lovely old bay window giving lots of natural light. The master has a king size bed and the guest room can be made up as a twin or king size double. (Please request on booking). The modern shower room has plenty of shelf space for toiletries. Downstairs, the open plan area has a comfortable lounge with a sofa bed with Hypnos full double mattress for 1 or 2 additional guests, if required. TV and unlimited high speed wifi are also provided. The kitchen area is bright and well-equipped with a table seating up to 6 people. There is also a downstairs cloakroom/washroom with washing machine and tumble drier. Guests have access to the whole property except one cupboard in the main bedroom which is used for spare linen. Our housekeeper lives and works in Watlington and is always on hand to solve any issues or answer any questions. We are both available 24/7 by phone and email. A range of shops are within a short walk including; butcher, delicatessen, Co-op supermarket, kitchenware, chocolatier, post office and gifts. Watlington is well served with 3 pubs, a fish and chip shop, Social Club restaurant, coffee shop and Indian restaurant. Watlington is surrounded by beautiful footpaths and bridleways across the Chiltern Hills. Ideal to stretch your legs, take some exercise or spot our majestic red kites! Located just 5 minutes from junction 6 on the M40, Watlington is very convenient for access. Henley on Thames and Oxford are both close by and train stations and airports within a relatively short drive. One parking place is available at the rear of the property. Further free parking is available nearby.
