Life’s Little Diversion

Life’s Little Diversion is exactly that, a diversion from everyday life. Located on Three Rivers Island in SE Louisiana. You start the clock on island time by hopping onto the Life's Little Diversion golf cart, crossing two bridges and heading down the path to your water front getaway. Relax and enjoy the views on any one of the 3 decks or boat dock. Book your stay and head our way and as we say in Louisiana….Laissez les bons temps rouler! Life's Little Diversion is already starting out to be a new experience since it is located on an island, and you can only get there by boat or golf cart. Once you arrive in the parking lot, look for the Life’s Little Diversion golf cart. Load it up and off you go. As you cross the bridges see if you can spot any alligators. Follow the path and you have arrived!!! Life’s Little Diversion has everything you need for your perfect get away. The house will sleep 6 guests, but it is really most comfortable for 4. There are 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths. There is also a loft. If you can scurry up the ladder it has a full and twin-size mattresses. There is indoor and outdoor dining. The house is Alexa enabled for lamps and music. The dock is perfect for relaxing or fishing. We even have a couple of poles. Just bring your favorite tackle or bait. We do recommend that you have a LA fishing license. We also request that if you have small children to bring a life vest for them while on the dock. We are not responsible for slips, falls or plunges off the dock or bulkhead. Even a rainy day at the river is a good day, there is a covered screened porch so you can still enjoy the outdoors or stay inside for fun and games. Want to roast a few mallows? You can! The gravel parking lot does not have designated parking. Park wherever you’d like except for under cover. Look for the Life’s Little Diversion golf cart and head onto the island. *No one under the age of 16 is permitted to drive the golf cart. Please be courteous while driving the bridges and paths. Paths and bridges are narrow and don’t allow room for passing. You may need to give the right of way or they may pull over for you. Give a thank you wave and be on your way. We ask that you not “joy ride” in the golf cart on the paths or roadway. It isn’t street legal and you risk getting a ticket. If you're bringing a boat, you can launch it at the public boat launch located just off HWY 22 at Canal Bank Club. Trailers ARE NOT allowed inside the parking lot. You will need to park outside the gate on the grass at the Three Rivers Island Parking lot. Have fun, have more fun and have tons of fun! There are full time residents on the island, especially around Life’s Little Diversion. Please be courteous. Three Rivers Island is only accessible by boat or golf cart. We provide a golf cart as a courtesy but ask that you keep to the path and venture out onto the road for garbage disposal only. *Please no one under the age of 18 may drive the golf cart. The island is full of summer fun! Many of the neighbors around Life's Little Diversion are full time residents, so please be respectful. Just down HWY 22 is Brians Supermarket. They have just about anything you need. They even have a great selection of wine, beer, liquor and mixers. Next door to Brians is Dollar General and of course in Louisiana there is always a New Orleans Original Daquiris.
