This lovely, light and bright bungalow is located in a peaceful pocket of Devon, but a short drive away from the pretty North coast. In under 20 minutes you can reach Westward Ho! beach, and in under 30 the stunning Hartland Heritage Coast. Inside, the bungalow has been well-maintained to a high standard and boasts homely interiors throughout. The open-plan kitchen and dining room has been kitted out with all the mod cons you need to cook up delicious meals. Find an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and more. There is also a large dining table, perfect for feasts! The spacious living room is the perfect spot to relax on cooler evenings: slump back on one of the relaxing sofas and find something to watch on the Smart TV with Apps. You will also find a handful of books, which you are welcome to borrow, as well as a set of French doors that leads out into the leafy garden. The bungalow has 4 bedrooms in total: 1 king room, 1 double and 2 twin rooms. All have been furnished with high quality linens and storage space to hang your clothes. These share 2 bathrooms: a family suite with a separate bath and luxurious waterfall shower, as well as an ensuite with a further shower. Summer's days are best spent out in the garden, with its spacious lawn and pretty borders. Enjoy your morning cup of tea in the sunshine or a tipple or two at sunset! Parking for 2 cars on the driveway. Guests will have access to the whole house and garden. We will be available via call, text or email for the duration of your stay should you have any issues or queries. The bungalow is situated on a quiet road in Frithelstock Stone, a pretty village in North Devon. In under 10 minutes, you will find RHS Garden Rosemoor - a great day out for families of all ages. You're just 18-minutes drive from Westward Ho!, a gorgeous village on Devon's Torridge-Taw Estuary. Here you will find beautiful beaches and idyllic countryside, as well as restaurants and fish & chip shops lining the waterfront. Further down the coast you can uncover quieter sand dunes, salt marshes and meet the wild ponies. The beach has a wide expanse of sand when the tide is out, which makes a great place for a game of football or rounders. Lifeguarded all year round, the beach is also ideal for families and small children. You'll also often see surfers braving the waves - beginners can give it a go by booking a lesson at North Devon Surf School. Once the tide draws in, you can spend time on the promenade playing in the amusements or gazing over the fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean while savouring an ice cream or two! A walk along the coast to the beach will bring you to Northam Burrows, a Site of Special Scientific Interest with a salt marsh, sand dunes and grasslands. Here you will also find a handful of friendly ponies and grazing sheep to go say hello to! For those travelling with younger ones, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep adventure parks are nearby and a great day out. A little further away is the beautiful Hartland Heritage Coast, which boasts some of the most beautiful countryside in the region. We would suggest visiting Mouthmill Beach and Abbey River Beach as well as Clovelly. Known for its steep cobbled street, Clovelly is a true treasure trove of quirky shops, museums and cafes. For cyclists, the popular Tarka Trail runs through North Devon and is a fantastic way to explore the gorgeous countryside. Due to the remote nature of Devon, we would advise bringing a car with you. There is ample free parking on the driveway. The closest train station to the property is Barnstaple, which is a 30 minute drive. Regular trains run from here to Exeter St Davids, where you can change and pick up the fast train direct to London.
