Downstairs is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating around the fireplace for up to four people. A flagstone floor, oak beams and lightly coloured limewash walls complete the décor with French doors leading into the private enclosed garden. Upstairs a generous mezzanine area has a desk and sofa which can convert to a full double bed. The bedroom is spacious; the bathroom includes a shower and a separate bathtub, all with under floor heating. The house is located in the heart of a small picturesque French village and yet it feels completely private since it is not attached or overlooked. The property is comfortable and tastefully renovated whilst retaining many typical Burgundian features. Access is available to all parts of the house including the garden, cellar and a spot for private off-road parking right outside the front door. We live two minutes away from the house and are available if you need us. Staying in Corsaint is all about stepping back in time and enjoying the peaceful rural surroundings. No busy roads, trains, aeroplanes or noisy farms - even the church bells stop at night! Best to have a car although some people do arrive by bike; Montbard train station is 20kms from the house. More choice of trains and car rentals can be had in Dijon which is an hours drive away. Nearest shops and restaurants are 5kms away in Epoisses There is a private parking space in the green right outside the house. The cellar off the kitchen has enough space to store bikes if you want to bring them. Geothermal heating and a plentiful supply of logs for the fire will keep you cosy in the cooler months.
