Cadence B & B is a 7 bedroom lodge which can sleep 12 people in 10 beds. We do have a small kitchenette with two hobs, a microwave and various electrical cooking appliances but no oven. Because of the small size it is not suitable for groups wanting lots of cooking. While Breakfast and full cleaning is included in your price we ask that you leave the room and facilities in a tidy , clean state. Pick up any rubbish on the floor, wash and dry and put away dishes and leave it tidy. The 7 comfortable rooms and delightful lounge/dining area provide a very private , peaceful stay for our visitors. Under normal circumstances you can have as much of us as you wish; visit for a coffee and chat or get on with what you came to Stratford to do. The rooms are simply but freshly decorated and our recent renovations look great. Each area has new carpet, a vanity and a space to hang your clothes. Bedrooms 1, 2, 6 and 7 have wardrobes. The lounge can be used for dining, working, watching TV, DVD's and Netflix or for curling up with a good book or magazine. You can park on the street or in our off street parking if space permits. You can access the gardens seating area through bedrooms 2,3,4 and 5. The residence is separated from the lodge by a swinging door. As a guest you have access to the kitchenette, bathrooms, and lounge/dining. It is lovely to sit and chat but sometimes guests have a specific agenda. In that case we are happy to help as much as possible and let you get on with it. I have lived in a town close by to Stratford for 5 years and was unaware till now what a beautiful place Stratford is to lovel If you love walking, the many walks around town following the Patea river are second to none. We have lived on a life-style block prior to coming to Stratford and my husband could not bear the thought of living in the middle of the town. But when he saw that we have no neighbours he was delighted. We have a park on one boundary, a schools playing fields on two, and a very wide street on the last. Opposite the school is the Catholic Church and so apart from school drop off and pick up we have a peaceful location. Buses leave New Plymouth for Stratford and vise versa 4 times a day on week days. See the Connector timetables on line. (URL HIDDEN) The Lodge is a 10minute walk from the bus stop and even shorter if you take the bridge crossing by the scout den, across the Patea River, come out behind the Swimming Pools and then down Miranda. You need to know that our family live in the property at the front so planning a noisey party is probably not a good idea. We access our laundry, garage and chicken rearing facilities through the hallway of the lodge. We try to not impinge when you have asked for privacy.
