This truly is the perfect couples getaway. Step into this charming 2 story & loft bedroom A-frame cottage nestled among the beautiful Australian native bush, offering complete privacy and comfort. Find yourself feeling right at home with all the necessary items needed for a comfortable stay - coffee machine, soda stream, smart TV, Webber BBQ, silk eye masks, bathrobes..... Enjoy waking up to the sunrise peeking over the mountain ridge from a comfy bed dressed in luxurious organic linen situated on the top level - accessed by a built in ladder. On the second level, you find a well-equipped kitchen & lounge area which opens up onto a veranda perfect for taking in the tranquil view. The couch folds out into a bed so you can watch tv in comfort lying down & snuggled up. Downstairs on the bottom level is the bathroom which also opens up onto a veranda. Simply treat yourself to a bath and catch the sunset glow reflecting on the undulating tree line. We have provided deluxe bathrobes to ensure a cozy stay. Free WIFI & Netflix is available for your convenience. There is an outdoor table setting located underneath the fig tree for you to enjoy your meals outside, a large double hammock as well as a fire pit to sit around and gaze at the night sky on those colder nights. We want you to feel completely relaxed and not go anywhere whilst staying with us, so we have created a list of incredible local therapists to give in house treatments. We also have on offer a couple of food hampers that we can arrange for you upon arrival. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE FLEXIBLE WITH CANCELLATIONS IF A BORDER CLOSURE OR LOCKDOWN IS IN PLACE DUE TO COVID. Having your own car to get around is ideal as our cottage is located in the countryside and taxis can be expensive and ubers are rare. There is a bus that you can catch to the township of Burringbar from Murwillumbah or Brunswick heads. The cottage is a further 8 minute drive up the valley from the township. Your host is very local & able to assist with any enquiries or issues you may have during your stay. Burringbar is a tiny village tucked away in the northern rivers of NSW. The village consists of a General Store, Liquor Supplies, Post Office, the best butcher in the shire, very popular café with amazing coffee, friendly staff & a tasty menu, a well-equipped chemist, delicious Mexican restaurant, authentic Thai takeaway, a very affordable funky hairdresser, an epic antique shops & a real estate agent. Here in Burringbar, you’ll find quintessential country life – tall, green trees and hand-crafted cheese from local dairy farms, laden roadside fruit stalls and the kind of stand-still serenity you’ll still feel when you’re back home. Centrally located, Burringbar is a short 15-minute drive from picturesque Wooyung beach, 10 minutes from the splendour & falls festival site, 35 minutes from the Goldcoast airport, 30 minutes to Byron Bay, 15 minutes to Murwillumbah, 25 minutes to Mullumbimby & 15 minutes to Pottsville. You can reach the M1 highway in 10 minutes heading south or in 15 minutes heading north. You will need your own transport to visit this rural area. There is a bus route from Murwillumbar and Brunswich Heads that stops off at Burringbar/Moobal but no services that will take you further up the valley to the cottage. If you are unable to travel due to any boarders closures or lockdowns please know we are flexible with our cancellation policy and happy to offer refunds or another date. Please know Airbnb does not refund their fees. Our cottage is located in the bush and you may be visited by the occasional bug.
