A winding gravel drive takes you up to the beautiful western red cedar cottage which is nestled amongst the trees overlooking treed paddocks and the Brokenback Range. Parrots and Redfaced Finches are fed on the spacious deck. Vineyards and Music Festivals are only 15 minutes away. A bus can be booked to stop at the gate on Event nights. Cottage sleeps 2 in main bedroom but also has a sofabed. In the kitchen are all the makings of an English breakfast with complimentary farm fresh eggs. This country cottage amongst the trees is a bird lovers paradise. Sit on the deck with all the wild birds around you. It can sometimes get a bit noisy with all the animal noises. The cottage is spacious inside with a wide deck. You will see trees and hills out of every window. Pets are more than welcome. Lots of places to walk your dog. We have 67 acres of paddocks and bush to explore. Animal lovers will enjoy the antics of all our fur and feathered family. We only ask that excitable dogs be kept on a lead while walking around the animal sheds to keep our animals safe. They are very welcome to be off lead away from the sheds. This is a working farm and we are happy for guests to come and help feed the animals. This cottage is attached to the main building but complete privacy is assured. Guests can access all the Cottage which includes the kitchen and laundry and its deck and surrounds. Easy Car parking right outside the door. We want you to relax and enjoy your time with us. Living here is amazing. The property is on 67 acres with lots of bush around and animals galore. Yet we are only 10 minutes from the town of Cessnock and 5 minutes from the little village of Millfield which has a wonderful cafe and post office. We are only 5 to 15 minutes from the World famous vineyards with their fabulous restaurants and Music Festivals. This area caters to whatever sport or interest one would wish to pursue. Ballooning, Horse Riding, Rally Driving, Segway tours, Golf, putt putt golf, this is just to name a few. The city of Newcastle is only an hour away with its beautiful harbour and beaches. To get around from here is best done by car but a bus does go past a couple times a day to Cessnock. On Event nights a bus can be easily booked to pick you up at the gate. Also taxis. And to get around the vineyards there are many small bus tours with many of them offering pickup and drop off so you can do as much wine tasting as you like. On this property we have horses, ponies, lots of Guinea fowl, chickens and ducks. We race harness horses, so you may be lucky to see one of them getting worked on our track in the mornings. Due to the current covid situation, we request all guests to be double vaccinated.
