TWO IN THE BUSH ~ Stunning views, bush hideaway!

A relaxing, secluded, and homey bach half an hour’s drive from Coromandel Township and Colville (last stops for fuel and provisions). Romantic getaway for couples or a family adventure, can sleep up to 4 guests (one double bed, 2 slatted single beds). Escape from technology – no microwave, dishwasher or WIFI (good cellphone coverage though). Several beaches within approximately 10 minutes’ drive - Little Bay, a safe, all-tide swimming beach with pontoons to swim to in the summer, snorkeling and fishing rocks, boogie boarding (boards under the house); Waikawau Bay with a small DOC summer store and great surf; stony beach @ Tuateawa Bay with a boat ramp (tandem kayak and boogie boards under the house); or Kennedy Bay, with its long white sands. Wonderful views of the sea over native bush. You can see the sunrise and starry night sky from bed. Many native birds, including bellbirds, tui, kaka, ruru (morepork), and kereru feed on berries right next to the balcony. The bach is in a kiwi zone. Bean bags, hammock, and outdoor table and chairs for at-home relaxing on the deck. Fireplace to snuggle by in the winter. Escape from technology – no microwave, dishwasher or wifi (good cellphone coverage though). Mini CD player and radio. Loads of books, puzzles and board games, binoculars and a telescope for stargazing. Two convection ovens (one benchtop, one round, easy-clean convection), and 2 gas rings, plus portable gas barbecue. Basic pantry and cleaning items. Medium-sized fridge with top freezer. Bathroom has toilet, shower, washing machine and dryer. You’re welcome to park at the top of the driveway inside the gates, or in the carport a few metres down to your left at the top of the winding, bush-lined driveway. Otherwise, drive 150 metres down to the house. Have a boat? Talk to your property manager about boat parking options. Access & parking to Two in the Bush is approximately 150 metres from the roadway via unpaved driveway more suitable for 4WD's than low slung cars. There is room to park your vehicle off the road and just inside the gateway if this is your preference. But we are only a phone or text away if you need assistance. :) The rocky foreshore at Tuateawa can be rather good for fishing, snorkelling, kayaking or rockpooling. A short ten minute drive north is the pristine, golden sand swimming beach at Little Bay or 10 minute drive south to Kennedy Bay sandy beach. There are plenty of bush trails for both hikers & mountain bikers of all skill levels. PLEASE NOTE: This lovely bush studio bach is located 25-30 minutes drive x Coromandel Town. Roads are partly sealed, unsealed, narrow in places and windy. There are NO SHOPS or CAFE'S OUT THIS WAY! Just the bush, beaches, views, birds instead. Roads to Tuateawa x Coromandel Town are narrow, windy, some seal, some not sealed. Slow and steady will get you there.
