There are many country walks from the doorstep and the local picturesque town of Olney is just 3 miles away. Olney, situated on the River Great Ouse, is one of the most sought after destinations in north Buckinghamshire and is within easy driving distance of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, in an area with beautiful rolling countryside and many country and town attractions. Olney itself has tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, antique shops, boutiques and the William Cowper Museum. Emberton Country Park is located just before you reach Olney and is made up of over 200 acres of unspoilt mature parkland featuring over 3 miles of paths and trails winding their way around five lakes, through wooded glades and meadows with many spots for picnics, a barbecue area and a café. A short drive will take you to Woburn Abbey Safari Park, Castle Ashby and Bletchley Park, home to the WWII code breakers.
