A charming 2-bedroom cottage located in a beautiful area of West Norfolk. Manor Road Cottage is set in the quaint town of Dersingham, just under 15-minutes away from the two nearest beaches, and under a mile from The Royal Sandringham Estate! It’s a perfect location from which to walk, bird watch and cycle with beach combing and golf also nearby. Sleeping up to 2 adults and 2 children (with the use of a trundle bed in the double bedroom), this property makes for ideal getaway for a small family. Driveway parking is available. Manor Cottage offers a real home away from home during your stay in Norfolk, beautifully decorated, with hardwood floors, and large wooden doors that you usually only find in rural country cottages. The property features two bedrooms, one double bedroom and one single (please note these are feather duvets), each offering storage space for clothes and luggage. Downstairs guests will enjoy relaxing in the comfortable living room after a busy day exploring Norfolk, with the added benefit of a large flat screen television. There's a wood burner stove in the centre of the living room, a perfect way to keep cosy on those colder British nights. A fully equipped kitchen is available, stocked with utensils and amenities, with the useful of addition of a dining table which seats up to maximum occupancy. There's a family bathroom with shower over bath on the first floor, with an W/C available on the ground floor. Dersingham happens to be one of the largest villages in west Norfolk and is home to one of the great churches of the 14th century, St Nicholas Church. Visitors can look around the church between 12pm-4pm and as you walk round you'll see the amazing architecture such as the ancient 14th century walls, gothic arches and the 6 bells tower. The village itself has a number of local amenities such as florests, a garden centre, hair and beauty salons, newsagents, takeaways and two pubs, The Feathers and The Coach & Horses. You also have Tithe Barn which was erected in 1671, for hundreds of years this barn was a fundamental part of farming for the village and provides a substantial link to the past. The Royal family's country retreat Sandringham Hall, probably the most famous of the stately homes is just down the road from Dersingham. This amazing retreat is set in the midst of 60 acres of fabulous gardens and you can enjoy the museum of Royal Vehicles and mementos, as well as, the superb collections of family portraits, furniture, jade and porcelain which is open to the public. For those of you who want to enjoy a day out with the family then why not try Snettisham Park, which is only a 10 minute drive from Manor Road Cottage. Here you will find a full working farm but the biggest attraction is the Deer Safari Land Rover Ride. Once you've finished there why don't you head over to Snettisham Beach, a perfect spot for the family to get together and play games with the little ones. Just 4 miles away you have one of Norfolk's most popular stops, Norfolk Lavendar. Here you will be met by world famous Lavendar fields and an oil distillery, there is an onsite shop, cafe and grocery store providing all local produce. Norfolk Lavendar also provides plenty for the kids with an animal garden and an 8,000 square foot soft play area. Manor House Cottage is within easy reach of some of the most stunning coastline in the country and just a short drive will get you to the beautiful north Norfolk coast, where you can take a long stroll on the beach or explore some of the nature trails and public walking routes the area has to offer. There are also an abundance of other days out if you're prepared to drive that little bit further, attractions such as Bewilderwood and Wroxham Barns, or crossing over into the next county you can visit Lincolnshire wildlife park. Whatever you decide to do there is plenty to keep you and the family busy when staying at Manor Road cottage. Please note this property accommodates 2 adults and 2 children with the use of a trundle bed in the double bedroom.
