The municipality of Karft is located in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim between Wittenburg and Zarrentin am Schaalsee, about 35 km from Schwerin. The old town of the small town of Wittenburg is surrounded by a well-preserved rampart, the remains of which have been restored. The church and the town hall of Wittenburg are also worth seeing. Shops, a restaurant and a café can be found in the village. In the well-known alpine center there are not only the opportunity to go skiing all year round, but also a large number of events.
