The taps are OUTSIDE of the shower curtain, so it takes a bit of adjusting to test the water, put the shower curtain back in place, then turn on the shower. If taking a bath (highly recommended!), the standpipe (big metal pipe between taps can be turned and lowered to close the drain. You’re smart, I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
