Enjoy your own rustic lakefront Log Cabin nestled between tall pines on the sunny shores of Spooner Lake. This cozy (1,000 sq. ft.) newly remodeled cabin features all the modern amenities you want, with the charm and character of a true Up-North Log Cabin. Steps away from Spooner Lake, you can boat, fish, tube, paddleboard, snowmobile, watch the sunset over the lake with a cocktail....You will never want to leave! Just 7 minutes from downtown Spooner, the location couldn't be better. **Please read full description and all house rules before reserving** From the moment you drive down the long, tree lined driveway you will feel your stress melt away. The inside of this rustic cabin is packed with luxurious details including a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, a cozy dining area, vaulted ceilings with skylights in the living room and a gorgeous view of the lake. There are two generous sized bedrooms, a private half bath in the primary bedroom, a main bath with rainfall shower and hand held body spray, and a cozy bunk room with individual reading lights in each bunk. Cedar and log walls throughout the cabin give that cozy, up north vibe. Outdoors you can enjoy 100 feet of level, sandy beachfront and a long dock just begging to be fished and jumped off. Bring your boat and cruise around the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) acre lake- tubing, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding or just lounging- the fun is endless. There is a firepit for roasting smores and a large deck with ample seating overlooking the lake. The deck is the perfect spot to relax and bask in the charms of nature with family and friends over a meal. Enjoy your morning coffee and watch the swans float by or watch the sunset over the lake from the deck, the dock or in the hammock while you read a book. Downtown Spooner is just a 7 minute drive away for small town shops, eateries or the brewery. Visit nearby Shell Lake for excellent beach swimming and lakeside dining. In the winter- Spooner Lake has great ice fishing that isn’t over-populated and Washburn County is well known for its miles and miles of snowmobile trails. There is something for everyone at this little Log Cabin- welcome to our Happy Place. ***IMPORTANT: This is a family owned log cabin. We took a huge leap and bought it during the pandemic, renovated it and put all our love and energy into it to be able rent it out for other people to enjoy when we are not using it. We want people to be able relax, explore, and decompress at our little log cabin. We hope you sit on the deck with a cup of coffee, reading a good book overlooking the lake, feeling the sun touching your shoulders- and know that it's God telling you how much you are loved, just as you are. We want to share our little slice of happiness with others. When you stay with us, we will treat you like family- which includes expecting you to be respectful of the neighbors who are also our friends, respecting the nature and wildlife that lives here with us, and being a good human. We would allow up to 8 guests depending on the situation. Pets are allowed (with a non refundable pet deposit) but please keep them off the furniture and pick up and dispose of their waste in the garbage. 2 smaller dogs maximum. Please only book if you are comfortable with such a stay and agree to all policies and house rules. Here are some important points: WI-FI: We do have Wi-Fi- it is not amazing. We have the "best that is available" in the area, but you basically have to choose which device you will be using and only use one or two max for it to actually work. Hot tip- If you are trying to work on a computer and watch Netflix at the same time you will want to make sure your phones are not connected to the network, and the Robot Vacuum is not connected either. FIRES: You will need to purchase local firewood and check fire danger warnings before making fires outside. Keep fire inside firepit. All fires must be extinguished when you leave them. TRASH/RECYCLING: Trash and recycling MUST be removed from the cabin when you depart. Failure to remove trash will incur a $40 fee so that my housekeeper can remove it for you. There is a dump site in the town of Sarona. Their hours vary. I am not able to publish their phone number, but a search for "Sarona dump site" will help you locate it. WINTER VISITS: There is a shovel on the property. You may need to shovel a path to from your vehicle to the door area. A plow is sent for any snow over 2 inches. MIND THE WILDLIFE: To prevent mice, do not leave food out. Clean up all crumbs and spills right away. We work very hard to prevent mice but, being a cabin in the woods, they will be attracted to the heat of the cabin particularly if food remnants are available. There are bears in the area so do not leave food out overnight or you may have visitors. There is also a fox that lives under the deck- we have lovingly named her Dottie Fern. She had babies last year and a few of them live in the area. The neighbors in the big house in the woods leave scraps out for her and you can see her lounging in the sun there most days. IT IS A CABIN- there are gross bugs, lots of sand from the beach, and other crawlies that will get in if you don't keep the doors closed. There is a robot vacuum to help keep the place tidy, but you may want to sweep daily if you don't want sand in the bed with you at night. SEPTIC AND WELL- we have a sandpoint well and a septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet or put anything down the drains. The water is full of iron- we do not use it for drinking because I don't like the taste and we haven't had it tested. A big jug of bottled water will be provided for drinking and coffee. Please also review all "House Rules" before sending your booking request! In sending a booking request, it is assumed you have read and agree to all house rules. There is a very long, skinny driveway to the cabin and plenty of parking beside the cabin. DO NOT park on the septic system- it will be marked off with sticks.
