Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly cabin that sleeps 16+ & is nestled in the trees on the banks of the platte river. There is plenty of room outdoors to hike, explore, kayak, & just relax next to the fire pit just steps away from the front door. The cabin has a master bedroom, a bunk room to sleep 6 with an additional sofa sleeper, a loft bedroom for 2 plus another bedroom with a queen sized bed. This is a quiet, family friendly neighborhood out in the fresh country air right next to the river. Private area less then 2 miles from I80 & just minutes from Wood River, Grabd Island & Kearney! The cabin is located near the Crane Trust and just a short drive to many events such as Husker Harvest Days, The Nebraska State Fair, State trap shooting, Island Oasis Waterpark, Wood River Waterpark, The Big Apple Fun Center, Pete’s Safari Zoo, Fonner Park Horse Racing, Aksarben Stock Show, The Ag Expo, Cattleman’s classic, Stuhr Museum, the Archway Museum, Hastings Museum & planetarium, The children’s museum in Grand Island & Hastings, Spring City, & the Wood River golf course are just miles away as well. The cabin is also conveniently located just a mile from a truck stop that offers many services (including a subway) and food as well as a few miles from a small town grocery store & bar/family friendly eating establishment that has lunch & nightly specials. This is rural so traffic and parking is not an issue however it is only a little over one mile from I80 via a blacktop road so very convenient! Please note that we have low cleaning fees. In exchange we ask that renters tidy up after themselves to ensure we keep the place nice! Please wash your dishes, bag trash up, & pull sheets off beds used and put by the washer & dryer before checkout. (If you choose to pay a higher fee instead please contact us & we can arrange for full service cleaning. We try to make this an option!) This cabin is located near the Crane Trust Nature & visitor center as well as just miles from Husker Harvest days, the Nebraska state fair, state trap shooting, & many other activities happening in the tri-cities area of Nebraska. The Sandhill Cranes visit this area & can be seen right outside the cabin at certain times of year (especially Feb, March, April). Other wildlife such as turkeys and deer also frequently visit! You can enjoy sitting in the sand on the banks of the river or kayaking, swimming or fishing. We do host hunters as well & can offer hunting packages for additional daily costs which includes more acres to hunt in addition to your nightly stay but Hunters must contact owner before booking. Another amenity we offer for an additional cost is meal packages of our home raised beef and farm fresh eggs. Ask for further details if interested. No pets allowed indoors without permission.
