Updated Historic Cottage in the Heart of the Catskills Built in 1919, West Kill Cottage is a cozy, light-filled home in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. The house is carefully designed with modern amenities, but its rural charm is undeniable. In summer, hike , bike or fly fish all day, then grill out on the deck while the sunset lights up the mountains. In winter, ski the slopes at Windham, Hunter or Bellearye before curling up before the wood burning fireplace or toasting marshmallows by the outdoor fire pit overlooking the magnificent West Kill. This historic home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths , an open kitchen/dining area, and living room with a two-sided fireplace. Outside is a large backyard with a full size picnic table and a private deck with a grill and Adirondack chairs. In winter, we love hanging in the living room and playing board games with a fire going, or having a big breakfast out on the deck when the weather’s nice. Guest access The house and property is entirely yours to use! Please note that we do have neighbors on either side of the house; therefore the noise levels should be kept to a minimum during the hours of 10pm. Our neighbors (who are lovely people) have lived in the area for generations . We ask that you treat them with great respect. You can park 2 cars in the driveway and an additional car in front of our garage across the road I will answer any questions or offer any help during your stay by messaging me through the app or text message to my cell which I will provide at check in The cottage is conveniently located just off Rt 42 about 6 miles north of Rt 28 in Shandaken and all the amazing Ulster County attractions. It’s also only about 3 miles south of Rt 23A with easy access to Hunter, Windham, Tannersville, and Prattsville
