An 1830s 5 bedroom farmhouse nestled on nearly 4 acres of grassy vistas overlooking the valley. The house was recently purchased and updated with new paint, lighting and stylish decor. Our neighbor kindly allows guests to sled on the steep hill behind our house in the winter season. We also have an outdoor fire pit area, as well as a coveted "secret hiding spot" hidden behind a row of evergreen trees. There you'll find a few Adirondack chairs for lounging amid privacy and stunning views of the valley. We have a property manager named Kenny who lives just one mile down the road. He is available to assist should questions arise. Nestled in the village of Hobart and the town of Stamford, this area of Delaware County is prized for its bucolic landscape. This corner of the Catskill Mountains highlights the farming landscape, while river and reservoir valleys offer stunning vistas. You'll find great canoeing, kayaking, skiing, horseback riding, and hiking in this area. A car is a must! If you're visiting during ski season, we recommend 4 wheel drive. There's plenty of outdoor parking for multiple vehicles. We're a family of five so we've stocked the house with plenty of toys, games and art supplies for kids to enjoy. We also have a giant swing in the front yard that can fit 2-3 kids, depending on their size. There is also a little red shed behind the house that has a toy kitchen for kids to "play house" in.
