With self-check in, Guests enjoy their own entrance at the front door, three separate bedrooms, bathroom and the newly added ‘community room’ where a kitchenette has been set up for their exclusive enjoyment and use which is all located on the second floor of this large homestead. Airbnb guest access the space through the front door. As with many Victorian homes, the bedrooms can interconnect should guests wish. Each bedroom has additional tables that can be enlarged for working, creating and eating at. Host lives quietly with 3 cats on first floor with an apothecary shop on the back half of the second floor. While the outside could sure use a fresh coat of paint, the inside is a delight to experience with many of the original 1865 details still intact as it goes under slow renovations in between guest stays. This home once belonged to the president of the Green Mountain Railway. Guests use Front Door for Self-check-in using code provided through the airbnb messaging app prior to arrival. On occasion, your Host may welcome and greet you briefly at the side door just to say hello and introduce herself. Free parking is onsite and down driveway, there is enough room for three cars. During winter season, there is no street parking. Village amenities are but 3 blocks away, with several quick food options being just 2 blocks away. 30-40 minutes to area skiing. Guests are welcome to use the porch and outside spaces at anytime. I am reachable via Airbnb text messaging from 10am-7pm if you should need anything or have any questions. Cats are not allowed upstairs or in guest spaces at any time, though you might see them peeking out the windows to watch the world go by. Lovely large victorian homesteads line the streets in this quiet neighborhood. Usually after 7pm in the colder seasons, it gets pretty quiet on the weekends, allowing you to relax after a long day of skiing. Catch a good book and stream your latest series you’re catching on Netflix. It’s frankly quiet during the day too, without too much loud street noise to distract you working while on vacation on your art or writing in the Tower Room which is our community room upstairs for guests use with its bright light and area tables. Three blocks walking distance from the house, you’re in the center of Bellows Falls Village to visit the local coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants and shops without that overly-crowded tourist feel. It’s one of the very reason I chose this town to live in. It’s charming, local and friendly. But not noisy. Definitely check out our guide book for recommended area restaurants - some may require a reservation at this time due to limited seating. Easy 3 block walk to village amenities, shops, restaurants & bars. Speed limit is 25 mph and town limit is 15. People walking have right of way here in town, so be sure to stop and let them cross the road. Free parking on site enough room for 3 cars. Park in the ‘L’ section of the driveway not blocking the garage door. Overnight street parking in front of home, with no overnight street parking during winter seasons. Pet Fee is $75 per friendly dog. Please let us know if you are bringing your pets especially during the winter season. We will be sure to use pet-safe ice melt.
