We have been bringing this 1890s farmhouse back to life for the past few years and are ready to share this spacious and unique home, conveniently located just a block away from Lindsborg's darling downtown. Features original woodwork and local art, and lots of space: tv room, fully equipped kitchen w/new appliances, library/work area, living room, dining room. We welcome dog visitors, who will enjoy the very large, fully fenced-in yard. This is our home away from home, where we plan to retire. It is a lived-in space, not a commercial one. We hope you enjoy the personal touches it contains, from the extensive book collection to family art and eclectic dishware. We have kept the original woodwork throughout the house, including the scars and marks that come with over a century of life with humans. It is an old house, and we are still working on it. For example, the bedroom floors have not yet been refinished, and we are still deciding if the second bedroom's "distressed" ceiling is charming or not -- let us know what you think! Both bedrooms have empty dressers for guest use, and share a large walk-in closet: not fancy, but spacious! Windows are mostly original, weighted sash windows: please treat them gently if you open them. (All also have storm windows.) You will need to be able to manage stairs -- both entrances have a couple of steps up to them, and the second floor is accessed by a staircase. Up to two cars can park in back, off the alley. There is also street parking in front. Lindsborg is known as "Little Sweden," and hosts many festivals and Makers Street Art Walks. (Many are (Email hidden by Airbnb) This house is just a block away from Main Street's shops, restaurants, and Red Barn Studio Gallery. The city park, with a great kid's playground, and Bethany College campus are both a short walk to the north and east. Walk a little further south to explore the Old Mill Museum and visit the public city pool. Local landmark Coronado Heights (a WPA "castle" with hiking trails) is just a couple of miles away. Main Street shops and restaurants are an easy walk; full grocery store is less than 5 minutes drive. All parking in Lindsborg is free. Or consider renting a quadricycle from Hemslojd to explore, excercise, and have fun all at once! Hot water is heated by an on-demand heater. This means you'll never run out, but it might take a minute for it to start being hot.
