Forget your worries in this spacious and comfortable home. The Thornton River rushes by this 1850s, two-story farmhouse on 20 ac. A short walk through the field to a large deck next to the Thornton River, a Native Trout stream. Enjoy your evening campfire there, and stargazing. Shenandoah National Park minutes up the road. Hiking, Brewery's, wineries, and fine dining close by. This lovely old Farmhouse has 3 porches to enjoy your sunrises. A beautiful old farmhouse with renovated kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable living room and bedrooms. Updated Central Heat and Air. The property is open fields along the Thornton River. There is a wooded border along on edge of the property. 2 small ponds are fenced for safety but for both humans, pets, and the resident muskrat and otters. Hiking, biking, and car. Most adventures are close by. Friendly country folk. Please be respectful of adjoining properties. Check with the host to make sure you understand the bounders if you plan to venture out beyond the fields. Please keep an eye on your pet, and wear bright orange in the fall and winter months. There is NO hunting on the property, but adjoining landowners do. The hosts apartment entrance is on the back of the homes upper side porch. The sunrise room shares part of this porch. There is a privacy screen for both the guest and host. Please do not enter the house using the steps up to the upper back side porch.
