Parts of the cottage date back to the 1840s and it is well known in the local area as it once incoporated a small shop selling home made ice cream for many years. The whole cottage has recently been fully renovated retaining many of the original features such as exposed ceiling beams and smaller cottage style doors upstairs, whilst giving a warm and homely feel throughout. A modern dining/kitchen has been created providing all necessary facilities. The cottage is located on the main road in the picturesque village of Brigsley at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. A five minute drive away is the village of Waltham which has several convenient stores, a pharmacy, take aways, cafes and two pubs. An ideal location for walking and cycling, there are several nearby footpaths. The cottage is situated on the Wanderlust Way, a popular 20 mile circular route encompassing several pretty villages and can be shortened into smaller sections. There are pleasant walks to the villages of Ashby-cum-Fenby which has a bistro and Barnoldby le Beck which has a pub/restaurant. The seaside town of Cleethorpes is a 6 mile drive away . Slightly further afield there are some lovely market towns to explore including Louth, Market Rasen and Horncastle. The historic city of Lincoln is approximately a 40 minute drive away and is well worth a visit.
