The Orchard at Hover Farms

Come escape to the beautiful Hudson Valley countryside at The Orchard at Hover Farms. Take in views of both the Catskill and Berkshire mountain ranges from atop our rolling pastures. Our beautiful 1880 farmhouse will make you feel right at home with her authentic charm and calming atmosphere. This is a working farm where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of cattle grazing. During colder months enjoy the area's best ski resorts, most within 35 miles of the farm. James is always available to guests by phone call or text. There is so much to do and see around Germantown. Our own quaint little main street has a deli, restaurant, and a variety of boutiques and antique shops. Venturing outside of town you will find Hudson just 15 minutes to the north and Rhinebeck just 20 minutes to the south. There are public access points to the Hudson River and the Roe Jan Creek just a few miles away. The Keep Conservation Bird Sanctuary is just down the road, with miles of maintained paths to wander. Olana State Historic site and Clermont State park are a 10 minute drive, with amazing river views. If the city lights are calling you, hop on a train in Rhinecliff Station 25 minutes away. There are three excellent ski resorts within 35 miles of the farm. Hunter Mountain, Windham Mountain, and Catamount Mountain Resort are all close by and have a wide variety of trails and family activities. Whatever type of adventure you are looking for can be found in our little slice of the Hudson Valley! We are located in the pastoral countryside along the Hudson River, so it is advised to have use of a vehicle to get you around the area. There are train stations in Hudson and Rhinecliff to take you south into the city or north towards the capital. We are located directly on the Empire State Trail, so bring your bike!
