Riverfront Retreat/3 Bdrm/GR8 area/Nature Abounds

Welcome to the Huron River retreat! We have 100’ on the Huron River! We have a fire pit, 3 kayaks, a canoe and a dock! The apt. has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath with 1 King, 1 queen and 1 full bed. The location is PERFECT! You are right off the freeway and within walking distance to many conveniences! Detroit is about 20 minutes away and Monroe is about 15 minutes away. You’re about a 1/2 hr. from Toledo & less than 5 miles from Beaumont Hospital & Fermi! CLOSE TO METRO PARK, STATE LAND, HUNTING/FISHING!! INDEPENDENT HVAC! We have Boiler heat and window air units. No shared air between apartments! WE NOW HAVE AT&T STREAMING CABLE!! Go to the Roku Home Screen and go to the AT&T app!! We just love how convenient the apartment is! It’s the best of both worlds! The backyard has a very “up North” feel. There are all kinds of wildlife including geese, ducks, groundhogs, and many deer that come into the yard! Right across the river is state land-it’s great to go across the river and explore the woods! We have a large parking lot that can accommodate most boats! It’s only 10 miles from Fermi!! You are right by Pointe Mouillee State Game Area and Lake Erie Metropark! Bring your bikes for some wonderful trails! GREAT FISHING!! However, you are two doors away from a Speedway convenience store, three doors away from The River Village restaurant-GREAT food at very good prices, especially their early bird breakfast, and about a half mile away from the local Huron River Inn, a charming little local bar with very reasonable food prices! The renovated apartment has three bedrooms. It's approximately 1100 sf! The living/dining/kitchen Area has brand new gray bamboo flooring. NEW mid-century modern chair and comfy gray NATUZZI leather sofa!! There’s a 40” Roku tv with Netflix. The bathroom has been completely renovated. There is a panoramic view of the river from the living area. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans and we hope that you will find all of the essentials that you need. Please feel free to ask any questions! You are welcome to use our kayaks, however, you must take full responsibility for them and put them back the way that you found them. You must let us know when you’re taking them out and take a picture of them upon their return. All outdoor amenities are first come, first served; there are four total apartments. Please be aware that you are on a relatively busy street, and although the yard feels as though you’re up north, the road traffic can get noisy. However, we’ve added really nice white noise machines to all three bedrooms! Extra blankets are in the closets. We have many feather/down pillows. If you have allergies more regular pillows are in the master bedroom closet. We’re told that the building is the original general store. It is a very large old building and it was renovated into four apartments. Consequently, it’s not a typical apartment building and there are no shared walls. There is a hallway separating all the units and a 4 foot crawlspace between floors. We are just opening this up, please let us know immediately if anything is amiss! FYI, We are still working on landscaping. AIRBNB RATINGS: We strive for 5 stars for our guests. We humbly request that as a guest, you make your needs/wants known and allow us to make everything as comfortable and convenient as possible. Please be aware that Airbnb ratings are not the same as hotel ratings. 4's literally put Airbnbs out of business. We have an extensive checklist of items, and it's possible that something might be left out, but please allow us the opportunity to rectify any issue. We pride ourselves on our customer service. Of course, if we don't respond or care for your needs, we would certainly expect to be marked down. Additionally, please do not mark us down for things that we state in the ad, such as the fact that we are on a busy street or that the stairs are high. We state that in the ad, and we have added very nice white noise machines in all the bedrooms for our guests’ comfort (although most guests aren't bothered by the traffic). We believe that our prices, amenities and hospitality more than compensate. Most importantly, please enjoy the beautiful river and our guest spaces as much as we hope you will!! Your hosts, Paul and Elayne Petrucci You are free to use the kayaks, but please put them back and be VERY CAREFUL. We ask that only ADULTS go into the basement! It’s a storage and work area and has many tools and such and it’s not necessarily safe for children. Please do not use the laundry facilities between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm when housekeeping will need to have access to it. Also, please provide your own laundry soap; it will be too difficult to keep Track of and we need to make sure we have it for check outs. I live 10 minutes away, but we work during the day. It’s a safe, quiet neighborhood just two doors from Speedway for snacks and drinks and three doors from a fabulous restaurant, The River Family Restaurant. We have our own parking lot and we’re less than 1/4 mile from I-75, exit 27. The steps going up are high and steep. This is a waterfront property. Please watch your children at all times. Bring bug spray! Please be aware that the apartments are being worked on and there may be materials/supplies, etc., in the back hallways and basement areas. Again, we are on a relatively busy street, although the back yard feels as though you’re up north. Many guests aren’t bothered by this, but be aware of it. We let you know, and we’ve added white noise machines. I’m uncertain what more we can do. We humbly request that you not mark us down because of it. Note that the living room can get cold/hot because of the large windows. In the summer, we recommend that you close the bamboo shades if the air doesn’t cool it off enough. And in the winter, the fireplace is a heater. The switch is on the bottom under the metal door. Push on the door at the top to open it, and push the toggle switch to turn it on. Our sixteen-year old daughter is typically available to babysit! She has much experience with her three younger nieces.
