Tucked away in an the tranquil hills of Garfagnana in northern part of Tuscany, this rustic farmhouse with an above ground pool and of private might be the perfect getaway for you to escape to. This newly restored farmhouse is placed right next to our converted barn, where the two of us live with our three cats. While you are enjoying your stay here, we will of course be discreet and leave you in privacy, but available if you should have any questions. - 4 bedroomed farmhouse with room for up to 8 people, be advised that we have sloping land and drop offs that are not suitable for unsupervised smaller children. Keep in mind the holiday home is situated on a hillside and therefor we have many steps in and around the property. - Downstairs: there are 2 bedrooms with king sized beds (160 x 200cm) and ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers. A fully equipped kitchen with oven, gas hub, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a cozy living room with a small smart TV plus fire place. - Upstairs: there are 2 bedrooms with kingsize beds (160 x 190cm) divided by a larger shared bathroom with a walk in shower. The garden area includes a pergola, BBQ, other seating areas and additional fresh water plunge pool in the yard. -You will have your own private parking (room for 3 cars) 20m past the house. A short walk (ca. 5 min.) down to a wild and unspoilt mountain stream running through our small valley. This beautiful body of water has it's natural occurring plunge pools, that may tempt you on a hot summers day, or maybe you would just want to emerge yourself in the peaceful private surroundings listening to the relaxing sound of the cascading water. Please bear in mind that the mountain stream water can be quite cold even in the hot summer months, pay special attention when traversing the rocks and swim at your own risk. Even though Campo Collina gives the feeling of being secluded, you are only a 10-12 minutes drive from the bustling market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and 15 minutes drive from the beautiful medieval town of Barga. In our small commune of Fosciandora we have the picturesque medieval village of Ceserana and La Villa which are 10-15 minutes walk up the road. There are numerous short and long hikes including a hike through the forest up to a beautiful scenic village called Sillico, there you can enjoy more stunning mountain views, have a drink at the local bar or even a local meal. Do you fancy a pizza? If you are not in the mood to drive far or you like to go for a 1 km walk down our hill, you'll find the local Bar Pizzeria Il Vecchio Ponte situated at our railway station Garfagnana is an ideal place for lovers of unspoilt forest, hills and mountains with endless hiking trials , with one of them passing by Campo Collina. The best way to get around apart from walking is by car. Public transportation is very limited. Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times. Never leave your children unsupervised as we have steep sloping terrain in various parts of our property.
