Jon and Tina Clarke and family offer you a warm and friendly welcome to the Bay Horse Inn. The Bay Horse Inn is a traditional family-run old English Inn that dates back to the 17th century, with log fires and beamed bar/dining areas. Situated in the picturesque village of Green Hammerton 10 miles from the centres of York and Harrogate. We are situated within easy access of the A59 and A1 major routes. Cattal and Hammerton railway stations are within a 5 minute drive of our Inn. All double en-suites have a comfortable bed, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. All our en-suites have shower facilities, hand sink ,toilet and free toiletries.Ground floor rooms are available. We took over the Bay Horse in November 2016 and have over 30 years experience in the pub and hotel trade. It has always been our dream to have our own bed and breakfast after working for several years as Managers in both pubs and hotels. Jon has a passion for cooking and all our menu is locally sourced, where possible. Jon's speciality curries are freshly made, using traditional Indian and Pakistani recipes. Having worked with a chef from Lahore for 2 years , Jon gained valuable experience in the preparation and cooking of authentic dishes.Jon aims to provide good, freshly made pub food on a daily basis. Tina has a passion for gardening and enjoys creating the hanging baskets and floral displays for the pub throughout the year. Our family play a major role in the business. We are part of a small family "Pub Company" called "Just Food and Drink Company Ltd." We aim to provide all our customers with a warm and friendly welcome to our village pub. The Bay Horse Inn is situated in a traditional North Yorkshire village , within a 5 minute drive to the A59/A1 routes with easy access to York and Harrogate. There is golf nearby at Aldwark Manor, Knaresborough and Harrogate, river fishing on the Ouse and nearby fishing lakes at Thorpe Underwood and Poppleton. The Yorkshire Heart vineyard and brewery is situated close to the village and provides vineyard tours and wine tasting packages.
