Catskills Escape-5 STARS-firepit-minutes to hiking

Welcome to Hunter Honeysuckle Hideaway we are MINUTES away from hiking & skiing in The Catskills, and conveniently located on Main Street in Tannersville. 5 minutes to Hunter Mountain, 7 minutes to Kaaterskill Falls. 20 minutes to Windham Mountain. We are perfectly situated for your escape to the mountains. You will surely fall in love with the village of Tannersville (as we did). Our home is easily located on Main Street (Route 23A), between downtown Tannersville and Hunter Mountain in the beautiful Catskill mountains. You have access to our entire 1.2+ acres. In the summer, it is a lovely lawn for games, BBQs and general outdoor lounging (with surrounding views of the mountains). We have a 4 burner propane grill (put away in winter), firepit, and ADK chairs for chilling. In the winter, there is plenty of space for some intense snowman building. We have 4 bedrooms, all with queen beds. 2 bathrooms (one with a tub, one with a shower). In the summer, the 2 upstairs bedrooms have air conditioners. Downstairs we have fans available & personally haven’t found the need for A/C, as the mountain temps drop at night. 2 Joybird sleeper sofas (queen & twin). Parking for 4-6 cars (depending on snow banks). Our 4 bedrooms each have a theme of some of the adventures we enjoy: SKI, SAIL, RUN, FLY. COVID19 update: We have had to increase our cleaning fee to account for a full DEEP cleaning between each guest. While we love natural cleaners (Myers Honeysuckle is our favorite) the house will be cleaned only with CDC-approved cleansers (Clorox & Lysol) until further notice. All touch points will receive extra cleaning/disinfection between guests. We have 5 star cleanliness ratings for each & every review, and you can see from past guests that our space is always immaculately cleaned. In addition to using CDC-approved cleaners, we will also be washing every pillow and mattress protective cover (each pillow and mattress in the house already has a water proof & hypoallergenic protective cover)- all covers will be washed in between each guest.   The main room (living/dining) also has two Germ Guardian True HEPA Filter Air Purifiers that also have UV-C Sanitizer in addition to the dual air filtration system. So, you can enjoy your stay at Hunter Honeysuckle Hideaway to enjoy the fresh mountain air, and know that we've taken every precaution to make your stay safe and enjoyable. We have decided to keep our game & puzzle closet accessible to guests. Please use the provided lysol wipes before/after game use. Cleaners will be provided for guests to use throughout their stay. We also have ample tissues (a box in each room) and paper products for each guest. If you have any other questions about booking your stay with us, please let us know.  Access to whole house (with the exception of the basement and 3 closets). Easy check in and ongoing house access via smart lock, no key needed during your stay. Always happy to answer questions and available via phone/text 24/7. We are on Main Street in Tannersville, NY. We are a mile from downtown Tannersville (shops/restaurants/bars), and only 5 minutes from Hunter Mountain. We are on the main road Route 23A- hidden behind Honeysuckle bushes that are lush in the summer, but bare in the winter. Pros: super easy to get to/from, plus the main street in the winter is perfectly plowed. Cons: some car noise, not good for offleash dogs who might run across street (we have a dog tie off in the yard for 2, and dog runs in the back of the house). Our blue pickup truck is often parked in the driveway. Having a car is helpful. But not 100% necessary. There is a local taxi service available (Smiley's)- and the Hudson Amtrak station is 35 minutes away. Also, some bus options (Adirondack Trailways or new luxury bus, Line) to nearby Hunter or Palenville. From our house you can quickly & easily walk (under 5 minutes) to the local grocery store (Tops), Village Market & Deli, Villa Vosilla (italian restaurant) and gas station. Walking to the village on Main Street (bars/restaurants/shops) is a 15 minute walk from our house (sidewalk available the whole way). We do *NOT* have a TV but *do* have a projector available- with a 100" screen in the living room (equipped with Amazon Fire Stick-Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney and Apple Plus) and a DVD player & dvd collection (also a Red Box is across the street). We have LOTS of board games, puzzles, and children's toys. Outdoor games also available (slip & slide, corn hole, wiffle ball, frisbee, yard dice). Also available (for the music lovers): acoustic guitar, banjo, ukulele, record player & bluetooth enabled Marshall speaker system. Our house is also equipped with a large outdoor propane grill and a fully equipped kitchen, so cooking at home is always a great option. In the summer, we also have a large garden/mini farm that we planted each spring, and guests are welcome to harvest any ripe veggies/herbs during their stay. We typically plant: dill, thyme, rosemary, basil, cilantro, lavender, oregano, sage, tomatoes, cucumbers, kale, rainbow Swiss chard, bell peppers, a variety of hot peppers, zucchini, okra, broccoli, spring onion/scallions, and brussel sprouts.
