Peaceful 1 bed Shepherd hut with free parking
Our beautiful shepherd hut lies in a wild meadow in the heart of the English countryside offering you the chance to switch off from everyday life. The hut contains a kingsize bed with underbed storage, fitted kitchen and pop-up dining area, shower room with rainfall shower head and flushing loo. Whilst situated in nature our huts have heating and hot water! Outside you have your own seating area for alfresco dining and to take in the view. Thought to date back as far as the 16th century shepherd huts were used to provide shelter and a place to rest for shepherds as they tended their livestock. Hence the name! A simple wooden structure on wheels allowed it to be moved as required. Our huts are descendent of this original space, sitting on wheels and primarily made of wood with a curved tin roof. However that is where the similarity ends! Fully insulated with a bespoke built-in interior, this small space packs in all the amenities offering a luxury experience deep in nature. Situated on the edge of a small rural hamlet, Rosecroft Farm is the home of Blue Sky huts. The hut is set back from the country lane in a meadow that is surrounded by other fields. You can park on site for free and the hut is situated a short walk through the meadow (2 mins) from the car park. The nearest train station is in our local town of Halesworth, 5/10 mins drive away. You can borrow our bicycles or bring your own to explore the local countryside. Alternatively take a drive to the coast or explore the local towns and villages in the surrounding area. Rural country location. Close to small town of Halesworth with supermarkets and unique local shops, train station and doctors surgery. Close to many beaches on the Suffolk coast including Southwold, Walberswick, Covehithe, Aldeburgh. If you want to spend a day on the water the Norfolk Broads can be accessed from Beccles which is nearby. The easiest way to get around is under your own steam. Bicycles are available to hire. Alternatively if you would like to use a car, parking is free on site. There is often a small charge for parking in towns nearby. Look out for signs. Our two acre meadow contains four huts and in order to maintain the tranquillity for you and the natural environment we respectfully request no children and no pets.
