Relax in the countryside and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. This annex is a new addition on the side of a 300 year old thatch farmhouse. You have your own private space, direct access from road, a small fenced garden and an off road parking space. The flat includes a double bed, en-suite, and lounge-diner with sofabed for kids. You can also use our larger garden, trampoline, canoes, bikes and golf swing cage if you want. Easy walks right into countryside, along the River Tale or Otter. The annex is new and simply decorated, with everything you need for a short stay in the country. The lounge-diner is small, and the sofabed provides sleeping for an extra child or two (if sharing) - but when the sofbed is out, the room has little space. There are double french doors to the private garden which are lockable and serve as the main entrance. Although the accommodation is private, you might see us in the main house garden or through the farmhouse windows from your garden. There is an interconnecting door between the annex and the main farmhouse, but it isn't used and is locked. During weekdays we are quiet, but outside of school hours you might hear our kids in the garden. And our (small cocker-poo) dog will bark when you come in and out. Parking is off road, opposite the entrance to the annex. We live in the farmhouse connected to the annex - married couple with two kids and a small cocker-poo (hypoallergenic) dog. There is a locked door between our house and your annex as you have your own entrance to the road and own fenced garden. We are around for questions and issues, but will leave you alone otherwise! Other than our property, there are no neighbours, just fields to the nearest farmhouses. These fields sometimes have cows or sheep, depending on the season. You can walk along the country lanes directly from the annex to longer river or field walks. You will have an off-road parking space right opposite the gate, and a car is necessary to get to amenities. You can walk 30 mins directly from the property to the village if needed. Ottery St Mary, with a Sainsburys and petrol station is 4 mins drive away. Honiton is 10 mins drive, Exeter a 20 min drive, and Exmouth or Sidmouth beaches are 25 mins drive. There is a small and functional kitchen, with a basin, microwave, fridge/freezer and portable oven hob which sits on top the worktop. There is an additional two zone portable electric cooker that we can provide if needed. We will do our best to provide anything else that is needed - just ask! We can even run the washing machine and dryer in the main house for your clothes if needed (although it is in our main house).
